Odissi Dance Fete Organised by Rudrakshya Foundation in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: City-based Rudrakshya Foundation – the internationally famous Odissi dance ensemble founded by brilliant choreographer and Guru Bichitrananda Swain – staged the 9th edition of its annual dance festival ‘Ninaad’ at Rabindra Mandap here on Friday.

The festival showcased group and duet performances by Rudrakshya’s professional dancers, that regaled dance connoisseurs of the city.

Known worldwide for grooming the best of male Odissi dancers, Guru Swain’s all-male dancers’ troupe stormed the stage on the occasion. Besides, Guru Swain is working extensively on the purush ang (male aspects) of the dance style that was presumed more as feminine.
